Teams that are not at the premade cap will be given priority in the draft. If DP’s team remains in the league, they will be given the first picks to fill up to 6. Teams at the cap of 6 will draft after every other team. Final draft order will be determined once signups close at 11:59 PM PST this evening.
The draft is scheduled for 9 PM EST on Friday. If you cannot attend, please have your co-captain or team member represent your team instead. If none of your team can attend, you may appoint any other player that you would like to draft for you.
Matches can begin to be scheduled anytime after the draft takes place. The season will “kick off” this Friday and matches can begin to be scheduled anytime for that day or any day/point after, including Sundays. The regular season is scheduled to conclude by January 24th with playoffs following immediately after. All teams will be eligible for the playoffs to encourage captains to ensure all team members get some amount of playtime.
Due to the timing of the league start around the holidays, this season will be free scheduled – meaning that while matchups will be assigned (i.e. who is home vs who is away), you may play as many matches as you’d like per week. Captains are encouraged to ensure their team does not ultimately fall behind in terms of matches played so they are not forced to schedule four matches in a single week prior to the conclusion of the regular season. If it becomes apparent this is the case, OVDL will schedule these matches a week in advance for the remaining team(s) to ensure progress is made towards ensuring each match is played prior to the season end date.
