      Take yer beatin

      Projected lineup (LMAO):

      O Inf: Jay/Iron/Jackie, O Hvy: B o o g or eric, SL: Captain Ax
D Inf: nos, Way, D Inf or D Hvy or JT: Rev, Med: Rue, Eng: Breakdance

      Offensive lineup (LMAO):

O Inf: Iron/nos, O Inf or JT: Jay, O Inf or O Hvy: Jackie, SL: Captain Ax
D Inf: Way/Jag, D Inf or D Hvy or JT: Rev, Med: Rue, Eng: Breakdance

Uh oh the most stacked 3-man premade lineup got first pick. Their 2nd and 3rd round picks were able to take advantage of even more opportunities (aka Way and nos), making them title favorites. This could be the strongest DL team so far, over DL1 fighting cores like Sov/Greed/baal/Way/chompy, Tyrael/Flair/Mights/XXXXX/Chuckie, and Ruler/Iron/Cara Tank/Worth/Keyser.

They can run a power O, JT O, or infil rush with eric who is apparently the greatest infil of all time. They are flexible on D as well to run hallway, 3-inf, or B8 bases.

They also have very good supports if they can manage 100% attendance. Ax and Breakdance tend to go lower in DLs, Ax because he is seen as playing one class (it’s time to unleash fighting Ax IMO), and Breakdance cause of scheduling.

You will need the cosmic power of Time on your side to beat this team. I.e. hope you are scheduled against them early in the evening or Time Wizard Jay gets caught in a CT time bubble and can’t show.

NBA team comp: 2017 Warriors with JayD joining Iron Chef Curry and Jackiemond Green. Revenge as Andre Iguodala and I guess we clone Klay for nos and Way.

      Goliath

      Projected lineup:

      O Inf: Soriddo/Ghost Bomber/Keyser, JT or O Hvy: Chuckie, SL: AND1
D Inf: Scarface/THE MOUNTAIN, D Hvy: Tactical, Med: Beso, Eng: Thiz

Solid team overall. Going into the draft you had Tactical penciled in as D Hvy, with Soriddo and THE MOUNTAIN as infs. Initial picks were Scarface and Ghost Bomber to fill in those infantry slots. Chuckie gives offensive flexibility and Keyser is a big value O Inf “3” if he can show. Still have defensive flexibility to run 3-inf and B8, possibly swapping Tactical for Foot JT enjoyers Soriddo and Chuckie. Not as much support flexibility as far as I can tell, and the team will want Soriddo to play a fighting class, so attendance is key as it often is in DL.

They are going to need someone vocal on D to step it up. Tactical is pretty quiet in CTF but I think he leads in USL? I wouldn’t know because after I dueled pinecone for the last spot in Season 16 snakes, my experience as Tactical’s USL squadmate was tragically cut short on the third day when Apollo kicked me for someone better.

NBA team comp: 2008 Rockets. Chuckie as the TMac threat to singlehandedly win you a game out of nowhere 13-in-33 style, Soriddo as the Chinese GOAT Yao since Soriddo sounds vaguely Japanese, and you got Scarface Battier and Tactical Mutombo to anchor the D (pretend Mutombo is not 41).

      Projected lineup:

O Inf: Colossal/Mercy, O Inf or JT: Mecca, O Hvy: hed, SL: Decker
D Inf: Worth/Phlow, D Hvy: Axidus, Med: abbath, Eng: ron

Another solid team. Interesting they took only 1 infantry in the first 4 rounds, but were able to round things out with Phlow and Mercy. Not familiar with Mercy’s game, but one-word capitalized aliases tend to be strong confident players, e.g. USLers like Colossal, Sov, Iron, Mecca, Demon, Sabotage. Meanwhile in Twin Peaks we have user names like An RR User, Silly Wanker, and thegreatchompy.

They should be running hallway bases to make the most of Axi, although Mecca is there to spam GLs in B8 if  that base turns out to be meta in this DL. Leadership is covered by Mecca, Decker, Phlow, and Axi, and supports look good.

NBA team comp: 2005 Pacers. A team with a defensive identity featuring Worth as in-your-face defender Ron Artest, Axi as a two-way all-NBA-first-teamer Jermaine O’Neal, Decker as veteran leader Jamal Tinsley and Mecca as an definitely-38-year-old Reggie Miller.

      Big Tymers

      Projected lineup:

O Inf: anjro/Soup/dp, O Hvy: stoink or Phony, SL: FlyMolo or Bowen
D Inf: baal/Polaris, D Hvy: spark, Med: Dilatory, Eng: Bowen or FlyMolo

This team had its work cut out for it in the draft. The D looks solid with Dilatory as leader and spark/baal A7 package. I know Bowen is learning engineer so I have him slotted there, but another option is to swap him to SL since he’s new to CTF and SL is the easier class to pick up. We got plenty of vets on offense, and Phony seems like another USLer with a solid alias so I am seeing the potential here but they will need someone to step up and lead the offense.

NBA team comp: 2017 Jazz. We got baal/spark/Dilatory trio playing the role of DPOY Rudy, anjro and Soup as Gordon Hayward and George Hill leading the team offensively, and returning infantry vets FlyMolo and Polaris as Boris Diaw and Joe Johnson who joined the Jazz that year. The 2017 Jazz were swept by the Warriors in the 2nd round of the NBA playoffs.

      Projected lineup:

O Inf: yosh/G, O Inf or JT: Galaxy, O Hvy or Infil: SgtKetchup, SL: Tony Montana
D Inf: Metal/MIGHTS/Blastbark, Med: Trooper, Eng: Verb

Galaxy broke the standard draft mold of strong infs first, however he still found strong fighters which I placed on defense, which features JT enjoyer MIGHTs to run B8 for defensive flexibility. Metal and MIGHTS could be defensive leaders, not as familiar with Trooper. Verb probably not though, I think he just spends all game silently regretting choosing the path of engineer.

On offense, despite the above lineup not having drafted offensive fighters until rounds 6 and 7 (G and SgtKetchup), this offense rates high on communication, high on leadership, and high on flexibility, so looking forward to seeing what they put together.

For supports, again I’m not familiar with Trooper except I know he is old school, and I hear Tony is pretty good so potentially another strong support trio.

NBA team comp: 2008 Celtics. A team led by many vets mixed with new talent. Most likely to poop their pants is Verb due to the incredible levels of stress and despair when he plays engineer.

      Pure Talent

      Projected lineup:

O Inf: RRUser/juet or kal or Jim, O Inf or JT: Zmn, O Hvy: Sabotage, SL: juet or kal or Jim
D Inf: CT/Shadeaux/Greed, Med: posty, Eng: mixm

Zmn went with the D Inf avalanche drafting strategy, with possibly no one drafted for offense until round 5. CT/Shad makes sense in theory with one aggro-suicidal D Inf and one patient finisher D Inf. The team has some defensive flexibility to run D Hvy with Sabo and B8 with Shad on JT, and a lot of support flexibility with at least 6 SLs. May end up similar to a Leeties dynamic where all the top picks go to defense and the offense has to rush to keep the opponent from swinging. Watch for the team to trade team captain Zmn for a strong O Inf.

NBA team comp: 1990 Pistons. Another defense focused team with CT, Greed, and recent Bad Boy Jim taking the roles of Worm, Laimbeer and Mahorn. Shadeaux is the one star on the team with good manners: Joe Dumars. The offense is carried by floor general RRUser Isiah Thomas. To round out the comparison, let’s use our imaginations and pretend the Pistons traded for 1990 Mark “Zmn” Jackson to lead the team in pre-game prayers.
