If you refuse to participate on a team you were picked on, or you intentionally throw/troll, or your refuse to cooperate with your team or team captain, you will be ineligible from participating in future CTFDLs. Additionally, if you register for CTFDL, you are expected to exhibit due diligence with your participation, attendance, effort, teamwork, and communication. Therefore, many new players, new CTF players, or new to organized play players will be spread out across all teams. It does not benefit new players to auto-bench them or refuse to allow them the opportunity to play/contribute. Additionally, it DOES help new players when seasoned players work with them, help them, teach them, and mentor them.
